On My Mind

Things that I have been kicking around in my head while running through my whirlwind days:

-- First: I am grateful for so much in my life ... family, friends, career, animals, home, church, health, peace.

-- So many people are ignorant, and jump on media-generated bandwagons when they know next to nothing about the topic. I think of these people as sheep, but sheep that are predators and can damage lives.

-- So many parents are wrecking their children's chance at leading independent and productive lives. They shield, they make excuses, they coddle, they interfere.

-- I love teaching art to teenagers, but I hate what New York State is doing to our district.

-- Jim and I are so excited to build our perfect house, and talking about the things we want and need is one of our favorite conversations.

-- So many people lead immoral and destructive lives, taking what they want when they want, and having no regard for who they destroy: their spouses, their colleagues, their children.

-- I am so happy to be part of my church, and I am excited about working on our goals this coming year.

-- Our current political administration is creating a nation of lazy people who have no incentive whatsoever to roll up their sleeves and put in a hard day's work.

-- Exercise takes time and energy, but it also creates energy. Finding the time is my biggest challenge. Oh, and I love food and wine.

-- Extreme religious conservatives are making it very difficult for us moderate conservatives to have an alternative-to-Obama candidate that we can vote for next fall.

-- Laundry is never ever "done".

-- Last: I am grateful for so much in my life ... family, friends, career, animals, home, church, health, peace.

never ever done
